Wheat State Pizza
Update – Oct 17, 2008 Tonight my wife wanted pizza and the last couple of times we’ve been out has been disappointing. Danny’s timely comment reminded me that I wanted to try Wheat State again – but not the buffet. So that is where we ended up this coolish evening. -
Easy’s Cajun Restaurant and Bar
Update – Oct 17, 2008 As kellyhart indicated – Easy’s is closed. Steve and I never got back there to try something from the regular menu. Please somebody open a good Cajun restaurant in this town! -
Biermann’s
I’ve wanted to head out to Freistatt for quite a while now to try some German food. I finally got my opportunity last Saturday with family to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday. The drive from southeast Springfield took about 45 minutes heading out I-44. -

Grandaddy’s Barbeque
It is with much sadness that I must report that Grandaddy’s BBQ appears to be closed. On Monday last week they had a sign in the window saying they would be closed that day – but as the week stretched on – there continued to be no life in the restaurant – doors locked, chairs [...]
