Hello.  I’m Bob.

I created this website out of my frustration with the various dining establishments in Springfield Missouri.  We have a lot of restaurants in Springfield and many of them (in my opinion) are not noteworthy.  I have read in our local papers and magazines for many years restaurant reviews that were positive and glowing – but when I went to dine at those same places I often found myself wondering  if I was in the same place as the reviewer.  I also noticed that there was very seldom any negative comments about any of the places and if there was anything negative it is always mentioned as an off-handed comment like “The server was busy with multiple tables to serve” meaning (I think) “We didn’t get the service we were expecting because the server had too many tables”.

I will not tell you whether you should or should not go to any particular restaurant – I’m only going to share my personal experience.  I am not a professional writer and I’m not a food expert.  I’m just a regular forty-something year old guy who wants to do a little whining.

I have a couple of friends who will also contribute to this site – Steve & Danny – and their views sometimes differ from mine.

I’ll also opine at times about other aspects of living in Springfield Missouri.

Please feel free to leave your comments about any of the restaurants I’ve been to.  Also, please don’t be offended if I didn’t like your favorite place – I think it is a wonderful thing that we are all different.  Besides, you can add your 2 cents worth to what I’ve written if you disagree.
